With a minority Parliament in Ottawa, a federal election could happen at any time. But CUPE members will be ready.

Because of the relentless pressure of CUPE and the labour movement, and our friends in the NDP in the House of Commons, we’ve seen major progress on issues that matter to working people in this Parliament.

Since 2022, we have seen the greatest expansion of our social safety net in a generation, with investments in health care and child care, new pharmacare and dentalcare programs, more support for rental units, a new disability benefit, federal anti-scab legislation, and more.

But we need to do a lot more. The next election will be our chance to defend the progress we’ve made, and to elect more MPs committed to continuing the important work of strengthening workers’ wages and strengthening public services.
