Canadians overwhelmingly support WestJet flight attendants in their fight for fair wages and an end to unpaid work, according to a new Abacus Data survey commissioned as flight attendants represented by CUPE 8125 prepare for potential strike action.

A new collective agreement has been signed for 535 croupiers at the Casino de Montréal, members of CUPE. The six-year agreement officially signed this Monday afternoon runs from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2032. The agreement had previously been ratified at a general union meeting held on July 2, with 94.5% of members voting in favour.
