A petition opposing York Region’s recently issued return-to-office notice has been signed by over 500 flex workers represented by CUPE 905 and affected by the policy. A group of workers delivered the petition to a representative of CAO Erin Mahoney on May 23rd.

Health care workers at Ten Ten Sinclair in Winnipeg, have voted 97% to accept a new deal after four years without a new contract. The new contract includes general wage increases, wage adjustments, an additional pay step, a long-service premium, double overtime rates, and significantly increased shift premiums. Workers will be receiving significant retro-pay and a signing bonus.
