With the 2011 federal budget coming up quickly, the case for scraping the corporate tax cuts is stronger than ever.

Canadians are in favour of increasing the taxes paid by banks and the finance industry. In an Environics poll conducted for CUPE, 65 percent of Canadians say they support increasing corporate taxes for banks and the finance industry in order to reduce government budget deficits.

Not only are the majority of Canadians on board, there is a strong economic argument for getting rid of the corporate tax cuts.
