The Canadian Union of Public Employees is expanding its pool of qualified candidates for short- and long-term temporary specialist assignments. Opportunities may arise at CUPE’s National Office in Ottawa or in regional offices across the country.
We are also seeking bilingual candidates with strong verbal and written communication skills in both official languages to meet our staffing needs.

Qualified candidates will have:
- Demonstrated experience and education in one or more of the above fields.
- A strong commitment to the labour movement.
- A commitment to participate in ongoing diversity, equity and inclusion training and development opportunities related to social justice and inclusion, including the ability to stay informed and adapt best practices to evolve the respective specialist branch or department work.
- A solid understanding of union issues and the broader labour environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to collaborate and work effectively in an inclusive environment with individuals from diverse backgrounds and teams at all levels, including union members, government officials, and external partners.
Candidates should possess a university degree or certification in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. The ability to travel and work on weekends, as required, is essential.
Salary range: $1,617.25 to $2,799.70 per week.
