Praise from the Fraser Institute usually sets off alarm bells but a recent Report Card on Alberta’s High Schools shows Calgary’s public schools not only outperform private schools in academic programs, but their non-academic vocational training, extra-curricular activities and diverse student population complement the total education experience.

Now if only the Alberta government would give the Calgary board enough funding to build new schools and maintain existing ones, rather than pushing P3s.
