Montreal Port longshore workers turn down employer’s offer and vote on strike action
Following three special meetings held during the day on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the union representing Montreal longshore workers announced the results of the vote on two questions. They rejected the employer’s last offer (99.63%) and voted for pressure tactics up to and including strike action (97.88%).
