Alan Linkletter was elected as CUPE Nova Scotia President in May 2025, and was elected to CUPE’s National Executive Board as Regional Vice-President in October 2025.
Alan is a medical laboratory assistant, and has worked in the acute care sector for 26 years. He has been active in CUPE 8920, representing Nova Scotia health care workers, for over 20 of those years. During that time, he has been shop steward, site representative, and recording secretary for the local.
Alan has also been involved in the broader Nova Scotia labour movement, as a Regional Vice-President of the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour from 2019 to 2025, and most recently as General Vice-President. He has also been a member of the Executive Board of the Nova Scotia Health Coalition since 2021.
