CUPE 3903 got York University back to the table this week in a bid to end their strike, which began Nov. 6.

We are keen to restart talks and will work flat out to get an agreement that protects the quality and accessibility of education at York University,” said CUPE 3903 spokesperson Rafeef Ziadah. Ziadah said the union’s main issues were:

  • benefit funds just above 2005 levels
  • job security for contract faculty
  • subsistence wages that meet the real cost of living in Toronto
