CUPE members are urged to use this letter as a template to write to Federal Environment Minister Jim Prentice about the upcoming COP15 climate change conference. The letter calls on Minister Prentice to get it right and not ruin a new international climate change accord.
Canada has become a climate change slacker under Stephen Harper’s Conservatives. Our country now ranks among the worst in the world with respect to taking action on climate change.
CUPE policy calls on our organization to lobby the federal government to help set strong targets to reduced greenhouse gas emissions. You can do your part by writing Minister Prentice directly.
