Thirty CUPE members are staging a 10-day march from Montreal to Quebec City to step up pressure on Vido0074ron in the bitter strike now into its fifth month.

The members, who are traveling on foot, carry a petition signed by more than 65,000 people. They will be stopping at several towns gathering more support along the route.

Other CUPE members have been invited to join the Vido0074ron members on the Plains of Abraham for the final leg of the journey to the Quebec City parliament building on Tuesday, October 15.

Everyone can follow their progress with updates on CUPE Quebec’s website.
