(Toronto) - An unprecedented attack on the pensions of child care workers has prompted strike action at the Victoria Day Care Centre.

Picket lines will go up at the downtown centre at 7:00 a.m., June 29. The Centre is located at Jarvis and Wellesley. The child care workers recently learned that the employer plans to eliminate their pension plan. The pension plan comes under the umbrella of the United Way. The 27 employees are members of CUPE Local 2563.
