Update: Class action on behalf of CUPE employees transferred to CCACs in Ontario

The Settlement Approval Hearing in the class action concerning the transfer of employment of certain CUPE members to Community Care Access Centres (CCACs), which was scheduled to take place June 24, 2016, has been adjourned to allow time for further discussions between the parties. A further update will be posted once a new date has been scheduled.

This class action may affect your rights if:

  • You are an employee (or former employee) of a municipal service provider, whose employment was transferred to a Community Care Access Centre (CCAC);
  • Your pension transferred from OMERS to HOOPP; and
  • You were a member of a CUPE bargaining unit at the time of the transfer, or you became a member of CUPE after the transfer.
