(Sydney) Cafeteria employees at UCCB will hold a strike vote February 27, after conciliation talks with their employer failed this week.

The vote will take place Sunday night on campus. The 27 members of CUPE Local 4428 are porters, cooks, bakers and dishwashers at UCCB.

The main outstanding issue in the dispute is wages. CUPE national representative Kathy MacLeod says the last offer from Compass Canada was an insult to these hard-working employees.
