Members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local One will hold a rally Monday, February 27, at 5:00 p.m., in front of Toronto Hydro headquarters to express concern regarding management’s recent move to decrease the workforce by 20 per cent and, by their own admission, increase the risk of blackouts in Toronto.

CUPE Local One will be joined by CUPE Ontario President Fred Hahn.

WHAT: Rally by Toronto Hydro workers

WHEN: Monday, February 27, at 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: In front of Toronto Hydro Headquarters, 14 Carlton Street, Toronto

 WHY: To raise awareness of recent attempts by Toronto Hydro management to destabilize Toronto’s energy supply through layoffs and other workforce reductions
