TORONTO – Toronto and York Region paramedics will call upon the provincial government to address problems with offload delays and the under-funding of emergency services at a news conference.

  • When?

    Tuesday, March 8 at 10 a.m.

  •  Where?

    at the Queens Park media studio.

The paramedics are members of two locals of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). Speakers will include Dave Doiron and Lorelei Martin of the Toronto Civic Employees Union, Local 416 CUPE and John Benyik and Leslie Weeks of CUPE Local 905, York Region.

The paramedics will talk about their experiences with offload delays and longer response times and the problems associated with emergency services for an aging and growing population.
