Temporary administrative opportunities

The Canadian Union of Public Employees is seeking skilled and experienced individuals to fill short and long term temporary positions in administrative roles that may also lead to future permanent positions. Opportunities are available in various departments and branches at CUPE’s National Office in Ottawa, as well as in our regional offices across the country.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures and administrative best practices.
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency in English. Bilingual oral and written communication skills in English and French are considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge and understanding of labour movement values and principles.
  • The ability to collaborate and work effectively in an inclusive work environment with individuals, staff and teams from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization, including union members, and external partners.

Salary: Compensation varies depending on the position. The minimum starting salary is $1,467.72 for a 30-hour work week.
