TORONTO Community workers who provide support for inner-city mentally ill clients are concerned about the well being of Madison Avenue and Support Services clients who have been without consistent counselling and support during a bitter 8 week strike.

The 14 striking workers, members of Local 3798.1 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) will be joined by CUPE Ontario president Sid Ryan and members of the CUPE Ontario Executive Board at a rally to demand that the agencys executive director, Nancy Roxborough put the needs of clients first and get back to the bargaining table and negotiate an end to the strike.

CUPE Ontario president Sid Ryan will speak at the rally and local musician Faith Nolan will entertain.
