Montreal, Friday, May 25, 2001 - The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE-QFL), the largest affiliate of the QFL with close to 100,000 members in Quebec, invites its members to participate actively in the march of support and solidarity with Tho0020Wouters and Roger Thibault, victims of a hateful harassment against homosexuals in Pointe-Claire.

The march will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2001 starting at 2 p.m., at the Pointe-Claire Station. This march will last about 45 minutes and will be followed by speeches of support for Tho0020Wouters and Roger Thibault, victims of harassment by homophobic neighbors.

CUPE condemns all forms of violence and discrimination, notably when it is based on a persons sexual orientation. This position was confirmed many times by formal resolutions adopted by the CUPE Convention.
