Toronto Striking food service workers at Trent University, will be holding a rally against their employer, Aramark Canada Ltd., at 11:30 am Tuesday, October 21st, at 811 Islington Avenue, corner of Islington and Evans Avenue, in Toronto. Over 100 cooks, servers, and kitchen maintenance workers, represented by Local 3205 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), on strike since October 12th, will protest against Aramark to fight for improved wages, benefits and a pension plan. The rally will also include Trent University students and faculty members, who support the striking workers.
