MEDIA ADVISORY

TORONTO Striking employees at Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), a Toronto-area social service agency, will hold a mass picket and rally tomorrow, Friday November 3 at the JVS North Office.

The 80 workers will picket together tomorrow beginning at 8:30 a.m., in front of

1280 Finch Ave. W. (just east of Keele St. on the north side of Finch).

They will also hold a solidarity rally at 12:30 p.m. in the same location.

The members of CUPE Local 2137 provide job counselling, educational and vocational services. They went on strike October 28th.

There are several major issues in dispute, including an employer demand for concessions on Jewish Holidays.
