Drivers with the Société de transport de Laval (STL) will be on strike next Friday, November 26 and Saturday, November 27 to protest the impasse at the bargaining table. A large-scale march for public transit in Laval will also take place on November 27 at noon. It will start at the Montmorency Terminal (545 Lucien Paiement Street) and end at the Le Carrefour Terminal (3000 Le Carrefour Blvd.) where speeches are planned.

“Customers must understand that management has forced us to go on strike, because STL’s management is jeopardizing public transit service for citizens of Laval. With 2022 around the corner, we are standing up for the sustainable development of our city. The citizens of Laval deserve quality public service transit,” said Patrick Lafleur, president of the Syndicat des chauffeurs de la STL (CUPE 5959).

Service will be available at rush hour on Friday, November 26, but there will be no public transit service in Laval on Saturday, November 27 in Laval.
