VANCOUVER, May 1, 2004 - CUPE BC today announced that two Lower Mainland transportation locals will be joining thousands of other BC CUPE members in withdrawing their services on Monday, 3, 2004.

The action is a protest against Provincial Government legislation ordering Hospital Workers, members of CUPEs health care division in BC, to return to work despite wage roll backs and ongoing privatization.

CUPE transportation workers who work on Skytrain and city buses are asking people to support Mondays protest as a show of support for public services in B.C.
