In addition to representing CUPE BC as Regional Vice-President on the CUPE National Executive Board, Sheryl Burns is president of CUPE 1936 representing over 1,900 Community Social Service Workers. As one of four General Vice-Presidents on the CUPE BC Executive Board, Sheryl is an Officer of the BC Federation of Labour and a representative on the BC Federation of Labour Executive Council.
Sheryl is an appointee on the Provincial Accessibility Committee and has served on the Provincial Employment Accessibility Technical Standards Committee where she assisted in the development of accessibility standards in the areas of Service Delivery and Employment. She is Co-Chair of the BC NDP Persons Living with Disabilities Caucus and is a member of the BC NDP Executive Board.
