CUPE is a strong advocate for workers rights, for equality rights, and social justice. As a democratic organization, we embrace the voice of our membership, and work hard to ensure all members have equal opportunity to be heard.

We’re proud of our work, but we recognize that none of it would be possible were it not for the brave people who gave their lives in defence of a country and a way of life that enables us to pursue our collective goals.

Their sacrifice is of the highest order. These soldiers understood the value of freedom and democracy when they laid their lives down to defend it. Honouring them on Remembrance Day is a small gesture compared to their incredible dedication. CUPE is proud to honour them on this important day, and every day, as we exercise our democratic rights which they fought so diligently to defend.

Lest we forget.
