Brantford – Libraries are among our most cherished community services and library workers are an important part of our communities. “But in Brantford, where public library workers have been on strike since September 12th, the employer refuses to return to the bargaining table and negotiate a fair contract with valued workers,” says Sid Ryan, Ontario President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE).

Ryan will be joining the members of CUPE Local 181 for a noontime rally/picket at the Brantford Public Library, 173 Colborne Street, Brantford at 1:00 p.m. today, October 1, 2002
