Dear Sisters and Brothers:

RE: Delegate entitlement to convention

At the 2001 National Convention, Resolution No. 14 was passed, which directed that:
“….the National Executive Board strike a task force to consult throughout the Union on the matter of constitutional provisions for delegate entitlement to national conventions; and,

….the task force prepare a report, including constitutional recommendations for submission to the National Executive Board in order for a report to be presented to the 2003 National Convention.”

The National Executive Board approved the Mandate of the Task Force in February and directed the National Officers to appoint the members/

The Task Force members have been appointed and have had a number of conference call meetings.
  1. Resolution No. 14 - Convention Delegate Entitlement
  2. Members of the Delegate Entitlement Task Force
  3. Article 6.4 - Representation at Convention
  4. Discussion Paper
  5. Examples of delegate entitlement for locals before and after merger took place
In order that we can consider your input and make recommendations to the NEB, we would ask that you respond by December 20, 2002.
