The events of September 11th and the aftermath have brought home the importance of working for peace and security. The attacks exposed how fragile our world is. They have shown that none of us is immune from violence and war.
Violence and war are not the answer. We must not retreat from our commitment to justice and peace. This is a time to build solidarity among peoples in the world in a non-violent movement for true social, economic and racial equality. It is a time to rededicate ourselves to making a better world because a better world is possible
