Ontario hospital workers should join OPSEU workers on their picket lines before and after work on Feb 13th, Michael Hurley says.

Hurley, the president of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions has wrtten a letter to the OPSEU Health Care Division offering CUPE members’ support in their fight against the provincial government and the Ontario Hospital Association.

“We are very concerned with the Ontario Hospital Association’s attack on central bargaining with OPSEU and we are proud of the resistance and militancy that OPSEU members are taking to fight these attacks,” he writes. “This escalation of actions by OPSEU members is an inspiration to all hospital workers.”

Hurley is asking OCHU members to support OPSEU members on Feb. 13th.

The action is about staff shortages and workload, according to OPSEU president Leah Cassleman.
