OTTAWA – The Walkerton Report, according to media reports, clearly illustrated the consequences of overzealous, ideologically motivated cutbacks.

Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre in Ottawa is also the victim of similar cutbacks that will endanger 450 patients, more than 250 of whom are Canadian veterans.

At a news conference tomorrow, Tuesday, January 22, at 11:00 a.m., CUPE’s Ontario Council of Hospital Unions (OCHU) and Ottawa health care workers will clearly illustrate that cutbacks to the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre have already begun to hurt patient care.
