Now this is a great way to celebrate May Day!  Following more than two years of negotiations, CUPE 301, the union representing Montreal’s amalgamated outside workers, has announced that they have worked out a tentative agreement to renew the collective agreement with the Town of Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue. Details will be presented to the membership on May 14.

“We’re proud to make this announcement on this the International Workers’ Day. Last month, the outside workers unanimously voted in favour of pressure tactics up to and including a full strike. We’re very happy with this development, and I’d like to thank the bargaining committee,” said Jean-Pierre Lauzon, president of CUPE 301.

The collective agreement covering the 22 members who are outside workers employed by the Town of  Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue expired on November 30, 2021.
