Members of CUPE 2073, representing workers who provide services for the Deaf, Oral Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing community at 24 offices across Ontario, have ratified a new collective agreement with the Canadian Hearing Society (CHS).
A vote was held across the province with 85 per cent of the members who cast ballots voting in favour of the new agreement. “We are pleased to have increased job security and stability with this three-year contract,” said Stacey Connor, President of CUPE 2073, “we will continue to serve the Deaf, Oral Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing community, with pride.”
The new collective agreement will expire on March 31, 2021.
