The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 2011, District of Saanich and the Saanich Police Board have ratified a new four-year collective agreement for the period of January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019.
Terms of the agreement include wage increases of 1.75 per cent in the first year and 2 per cent in each of the following three years.
The agreement was ratified by CUPE Local 2011 on November 22 and by the District of Saanich at the November 27 Council meeting.
CUPE Local 2011 represents 1,234 members who provide community services for residents and businesses in Saanich.
