Le SCFP à l’origine du Jour de deuil national du Canada

Chaque 28 avril, nous observons le Jour de deuil national en l’honneur des personnes tuées ou blessées au travail. Mais saviez-vous que le SCFP a joué un rôle déterminant dans la création de cette journée ? En 1983, le directeur de la santé et de la sécurité au travail du SCFP, Colin Lambert, a eu l’idée d’une journée en l’honneur des personnes blessées ou tuées au travail. Cet ancien métallo et mineur de Sudbury en a fait la proposition au comité de santé-sécurité du SCFP, qui n’a pas tardé à se ranger derrière cette idée.
