CAMPBELLTON, N.B. - Paramedics employed by the Campbellton Regional Ambulance Service just signed a new collective agreement.

The paramedics, members of CUPE 4624, work for the services operated by the Campbellton Village Nursing Inc.

With this agreement we are maintaining pay parity with the EMTs 1, EMTs 2 and the supervisors employed by the Restigouche Health Authority”, said John Leblanc president of CUPE 4624.

We are also pleased that the part time workers are maintaining pay parity with their counterparts working for the public sector.

Funding for the agreement came from the provincial government and the employer.

CUPE 4624 represents 17 paramedics. The new 18-month agreement is retroactive to January 2005 and expires in June 2006.
