FREDERICTON — The New Brunswick Council of Nursing Home Unions (NBCNHU) and the New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes Inc. (NBANH) have reached a tentative agreement at the bargaining table.

We are satisfied with the tentative agreement reached after more than a year at the negotiating table”, said Valerie Black, President of the NBCNHU, CUPE Local 2248.

We are very pleased that the parties reached a tentative agreement at the bargaining table,” said Gilbert St-Onge, President of the New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes.

Both parties have agreed to withhold details of the tentative contract until the ratification vote on October 26, 2005.

The NBCNHU represents 2,900 workers in 39 Nursing Homes.
