Members of the newly formed union in the Municipality of Ragueneau are both pleased and proud to announce that they signed their very first collective agreement yesterday.

The five-year contract includes an attractive wage scale, adjustments to various premiums, and improvements to leave, particularly vacation leave.

“Negotiations were respectful. The employer recognized that its employees have a very strong sense of belonging to their municipality,” said Charlaine Sirois, CUPE’s representative in the Côte-Nord region.

In addition to improving work conditions, these negotiations allowed both parties to exchange views on ways to optimize operations in the workplace.
