OTTAWA, ON, Aug. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Mental health support workers with Salus Corporation in Ottawa, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), will hold an information picket to protest stalled contract talks and management concession demands, on Monday, August 28th, at 11:45 am, at 945 Wellington Street, in Ottawa, outside a meeting of Salus Corporation’s board of directors.

The workers, who’ve been working without a contract since March 31st, offer support and counselling services, residential property management, community development, occupational therapy, psycho-education and other support services to over 350 clients in the Ottawa area, living with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
