Quebec City Anti-free trade activists from Ontario, protesting in Quebec City, will take part in a demonstration march from Laval University today at noon. Many of those marching are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). Sid Ryan, CUPE Ontario president, will be among them.

Despite the oppressive police presence, the spirits of those taking part in the demonstrations, teach-ins, forums and street marches are buoyed by the unity and solidarity of the large numbers here, says Ryan.

CUPE Ontario members will take part in a massive march planned for Saturday.

Sid Ryan will be available for on-site interviews along the march routes on both days.
