There will be a mass demonstration at 8:30 am tomorrow (Thursday) at the Legislature against Stephen McNeil’s Bill 37, which is “essential services” legislation which effectively removes the right to strike and fundamental collective bargaining rights from nearly 40,000 health care and community services workers in seven different unions in Nova Scotia.

Please circulate a call to all union members to rally at the Legislature at 8:30am Thursday.

About 9,000 CUPE members in Nova Scotia will effectively lose their right to strike as a result of this Bill.

The McNeil government will introduce the provincial budget shortly after 2:00pm, so a demonstration/rally is expected to continue throughout the day.
