WINNIPEG – CUPE negotiators and representatives of the bargaining units which rejected the Government’s last wage offer will meet with a mediator next week to continue negotiations.
Meetings will take place Monday, August 26, 2002, Thursday, August 29th and Friday, August 30th.
Mediator appointed to continue this process is Wally Fox-Decent who was involved in the last round of communication.
The facilities involved in this round of discussions, where CUPE represents health care support workers, include: Health Sciences Centre; Grace, Seven Oaks and Concordia Hospitals; CancerCare Manitoba, Regional Distribution Facility, Riverview Health Centre; Rehab Centre for Children; and Bethania, Golden West, Pembina Place, Luther, Middlechurch, and Betel Home long term care facilities.
