(Oshawa) CUPE Local 218, representing 1700 workers at the Durham District School Board, has reached a tentative agreement with its employer.
Local 218 represents educational assistants, clerical, office and technical workers, and custodial and maintenance staff. The Ministry of Labour had set a strike or lockout deadline of May 8th.
No details of the new agreement will be released until after ratification meetings are held with members.
