Kitchener outside workers wage 0031002d0077eek strike 00770069006e 7.2% wage increases 2

After hitting the bricks for just over a week, members of CUPE 68 in Kitchener, Ontario have ratified a new contract. The 270 outside workers commenced their job action on May 21.

The main issue in the dispute was wages. Local 68 members won increases of 7.2% over three years 0032002e0038% in the first year, 2.2% in the second and 2% in the final year.

Local 68 also won improvements to shift premiums and standby pay. The contract was ratified June 1.
