VANCOUVER — CUPE 15, CUPE 391 and CUPE 1004 each received separate letters today from Vancouver City Manager Judy Rogers and Chief Librarian Paul Whitney in response to the unions’ joint invitation to the City and Library Board to resume formal bargaining.

The joint CUPE local letter to Judy Rogers and Paul Whitney can be found at: www.fairnessforcivicworkers.ca

Rogers and Whitney are the two individuals within the City with the executive authority to instruct a return to the bargaining table, and they have done so.

The union is pleased that the City has finally made this decision and encouraged by the fact that all three locals will be working towards a negotiated settlement next week.
