As we enter the election’s final stretch, tax cuts have emerged as a major issue in the campaign.

We think that’s wrong. We believe it is an attempt to bribe Canadians with their own money, and distract voters from what REALLY matters to working families: like investing in improved health care, education, affordable housing, and protection for children and seniors. And keeping Canada’s promises to the world on vital issues like climate change and fighting poverty.

If you agree that these priorities are more important than tax giveaways, please take a moment to sign our Call to Action now.

You’ll be joining Ed Broadbent, CUPE, and other prominent Canadians in sending a clear message to all the parties and candidates: Canadians expect MORE from our government! We cannot afford costly, U.S.-style tax giveaways. Instead we’re calling on Canada’s next government to invest in the Canada We Want.

You’ll find more on the campaign – plus endorsements from Maude Barlow, Naomi Klein, Linda McQuaig, June Callwood, Avi Lewis and dozens of leading national organizations – on our Call to Action web page.

As we enter the election campaign’s home stretch, it’s more important than ever that we make our voices heard. Help us set the agenda for Canada’s next government!
