A BC labour board has ruled that an IWA “partnership agreement” with Aramark to represent hospital workers is null and void because there was no evidence to suggest the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority workers had chosen the IWA to represent them.

The ruling means it will be easier for the contracted-out workers to have a union of their choice.
