LONDON, Ont. – Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society workers, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), reached a tentative agreement last night, averting a strike that would have started this weekend.

Our members are happy we achieved a tentative deal prior to the strike deadline,” said Laurel LeBeau, president of CUPE 1427.  Details of the tentative agreement will not be released until CUPE 1427 members review and ratify the new contract in a ratification vote.
