SPRINGHILL, NS – Home support (home care) workers in Cumberland County have reached a tentative agreement with Victoria Order of Nurses - Cumberland Home Support.
CUPE Local 3953 President Kim Cail says, “The deal was reached in bargaining yesterday. While we can’t reveal any details until it is ratified by the members of the union, we can say all of the outstanding issues were resolved.”
A ratification vote will be scheduled within the next few days.
CUPE represents 65 employees who provide home support services throughout Cumberland County.
