To help Local 65 cut a deal, CUPE representative Ian Thompson shaved his fleecy cranium. He offered to shave his head if CUPE members and staff kicked in $1,000 for the local. Now, two others Fred Hahn (Local 2191 Toronto Association for Community Living) and Steve Sanderson (Local 1521 Ottawa-Carleton Social Services) are making similar offers. The challenge: $5,000 per hairy head.
