A giant wooden Trojan horse, created by CUPEs Ontario Council of Hospital Unions and the Ontario Health Coalition, is on a province-wide tour, attending summer festivities to highlight the dangers of P3 hospitals.

On Aug. 8, the CUPE horse visited the Waterfront Festival in Pembroke, the Jazz Festival in Oakville and the Campbellford Seymour Agricultural Fair. We want Premier McGuinty to honour his election promise to stop the private hospitals in Ottawa and Brampton, said health care worker Louis Rodrigues.

The corporations that get these contracts make profits of 25 per cent a year. Those profits translate into worse hospital care bed reductions of 25 per cent, 14 per cent fewer nurses, and 38 per cent fewer support staff.
